Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Kijitra, Inc. (the “Operator”) establishes this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) regarding the handling of personal information in the voice chat app Pikon (the “App”).

1. Data Collected and Purposes of Use

Authentication information User identifiers issued by Firebase Authentication Maintaining login status and identifying room participants
Profile information Automatically assigned combinations of a name, emoji, and background color Display within the App
Device language settings The language tag of the device’s first preferred language when the profile is first created; it may include region and script subtags Classifying rooms as Japan or World and selecting the language of notifications
Room information Names of rooms created or joined, and participation history Displaying the timeline and providing room features

Report and block records Reports submitted by users and blocking relationships Operating the App safely and deciding on usage restrictions
Application logs Activity logs and error logs, including those related to reports and usage restrictions Resolving issues and operating the App safely
Inquiry and deletion request information Reply email addresses, request details, and information needed to identify the relevant account or data Responding to inquiries, identifying the requester and the subject of the request, and handling account and data deletion requests

The App does not require registration with an email address or password. It does not ask you to enter your full name or phone number or access precise location through GPS. External SDKs may estimate approximate location from an IP address. Information voluntarily provided with inquiries or deletion requests is processed to handle those requests.

The App requires permission to access the microphone for voice calls. Users are asked to grant this permission when they first use the App.

2. Data Transmission to External Services

The App and its support contact use the following external services.

Data is transmitted to external services only to the extent necessary to provide each service’s features and achieve the purposes of use described in this Policy.

3. Provision of Data to Third Parties

Except for transmission to the external services described in Section 2, the Operator does not sell, rent, or provide users’ data to third parties.

However, data may be disclosed in the following circumstances.

4. Data Storage

Data such as profile information, room information, and report and block records is stored in a database (PostgreSQL) managed by the Operator.

Audio during calls is only relayed in real time between participants through LiveKit and is not recorded or stored. If a recording feature is introduced in the future, the Operator will revise this Policy, inform users, and obtain any necessary consent.

5. Data Retention Periods

6. Tracking, Advertising, and Cookies

The App supports Google AdMob banner ads and requests non-personalized ads. Non-personalized ads do not eliminate all data collection or use of identifiers. We check consent information through UMP before requesting ads and do not start ads when requests are not permitted.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them; interactions such as app launches, taps, and ad views; crash and performance diagnostics; and device, app, or other identifiers available to the SDK. This data is used for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, and security. Data transmitted by the SDK is encrypted using TLS.

Google Analytics for Firebase processes events such as app launches, onboarding completion, room creation, joining and leaving, and notification registration, as well as identifiers such as the app instance ID, to understand usage and improve features.

ATT permission is not required to display ads on iOS. The current version does not request ATT permission and does not obtain IDFA without permission. The Android version does not declare the advertising ID permission (AD_ID); this does not disable all other identifiers used by SDKs. Available identifiers depend on the OS, SDK, and Google Play services versions and settings.

Ad delivery and measurement may use local storage or identifiers that serve functions similar to cookies. For details of Google’s processing, see the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

7. Data Deletion

Users can request deletion of their account and related data through the deletion option in the App or by following the deletion request instructions on the Support page. The Support page describes the information required and how requests are handled.

8. User Rights

Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete an account or stored data. To request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion, please follow the instructions on the Support page.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for people aged 18 or older. It does not intentionally collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10. Security

The Operator takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect users’ data.

11. Changes to This Policy

Changes to this Policy will be announced on this page or within the App. For changes that significantly affect users’ rights, the Operator will provide advance notice by appropriate means and obtain consent where required by law.

12. Contact

For inquiries about this Policy or requests to exercise user rights, please use the contact details below or the Support page.

For requests for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or other requests, please contact the email address above. The Operator may ask for information necessary to verify your identity or identify the relevant account.
